This issue occurs in either of the following two cases:

• when the encoding of the page you are editing through the Online Editable solution is not Unicode (UTF-8)
• when the encoding is right (UTF-8), but the browser is not set to “Auto Select” encoding.

In order to change the encoding, just change the META tag in the head of the document from something like:

<meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”text/html; charset=windows-1251” />

TO

<meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”text/html; charset=utf-8” />

In order to prevent future issues of this kind you should set your default encoding in dreamweaver to UTF-8.
